my next goals in shell land are grokking bc(1) and dc(1) without referring to the man page.

Terminals…
Nice…
An old idea of mine was to turn screen(1) into a library, so that you can embed terminals in your curses application, and be able to (for example) run vi in a window of your mutt. Never got around to it, though.
