Picked up a new book from the post office today, Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress Free Productivity, by David Allen. What can I say? I’m keeping an open mind. Also, it could’ve been worse – it could’ve been He’s Just Not That Into You: The No-Excuses Truth to Understanding Guys!

Make sure you check out the http://43folders.com site too. runs it, and it’s a great GTD resource.

Yep, forgot to mention it. I think that’s how I found the book in the first place, or maybe I saw both mentioned somewhere.
Have you read the book?

Yes. I’m a fan of the book. It’s a good methodology for dealing with incoming and outgoing items. While it’s not perfect, I think it’s good enough to get someone started on the path to being more organized. In particular, I like the filing folder system he recommends, and I’ve been able to get rid of a LOT of clutter using it.
GTD requires less overhead and maintenance than a lot of other systems (such as the Franklin Planner system), so I think it’s pretty geek-compatible.
