I have two new toys of the computing kind. Say hello to elwyn, an
apple G5 (drool…) running yellowdog Linux:
[muli@elwyn muli]$ uname -a Linux elwyn 2.6.4-1.1321 #1 Mon Mar 15 22:51:37 EST 2004 ppc ppc ppc GNU/Linux
and rhun, my new work Thinkpad T42p running RedHat:
[muli@rhun muli]$ uname -a Linux rhun 2.4.21-27.0.2.EL #1 Wed Jan 12 23:46:37 EST 2005 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
A kernel infusion for both will take place as soon as I get to it.
Not to be outdone I’ve installed GNU/Linux on my cat!
Just don’t ask where the Ethernet plugs into…

But I sure know the cat is going to get uh-oh compromised by other cats soon 🙂

I discussed this with my cat. She prefers BSD.

You mean your cat isn’t wireless ?
Wow. That is so 90’s.

Congrats
Congrats! BTW, why did ya name the TP rhun? IIRC it means “east” or “sea” in elvish, which meaning did you have in mind?
Aviv.

Re: Congrats
I hate to be so prosaic, but I just googled for it 🙂
(two of my work machines are named ‘elerian’ and ‘gofannon’. Only one hit, but it’s a relevant hit…)
P.S. Hello anonymous reader ‘Aviv’. Who are you? 🙂
