I’m back on ICQ

One of the things I set up for Dafna on Saturday was gaim . Today, feeling somewhat weird, I decided to set it up for myself as well. I’m now back on ICQ as number 13390361, muli. Cheers!

    • how …
… did you reply so fast? do you get some kind of notification when people on your friends list post, or was it just a lucky coincidence?

Most LiveJournal clients support notifications when there are new posts on your friendspage. I know Semagic (for Windows – it flashes in the system tray) and the Mac client I use at home do. I assume the Linux ones do too.
They’re very useful for other aspects of LJ management too…

    • it’s all microsoft’s fault
I tried to login from work to ICQ, but the connection kept timing it. I blame the latest MS malware.
There is no such thing as offline, only temporarily disconnected.

        Ah…
I recommend my soltuion: running centericq from a server in a screen session, and sshing when you feel like talking.
