Oh great, Greg is staying on for AOSS. I was invited to attend AOSS too but I am sick… Hope to meet Greg one day.

tough luck… Greg sounds like a cool guy.
will you come to next year’s OLS?

Greg is cool 🙂 He came down to Singapore twice to talk about FreeBSD. I invited him down this year, but darn, I can’t meet him.
I am not sure. If I am coming, i will be paying for my lodging, and accomodation myself. Any idea if I have my paper submitted (and accepted), will they pay 50% of my expenses, or everything?

I don’t know, but you can email ajh and/or catch him on IRC and ask him.

i haven’t seen ajh for a long time, maybe i will email him.
i am wondering how i can apply for an account to upload my patches to kernel.org or is it not for anyone?

It’s not for everyone, no. But you can try and talk to hpa, who’s the ftp master and ask.
Comment by mulix — November 3, 2003 @ 11:21 PM
actually, i emailed to hpa before. he ignored my email. so i guess, that is my answer to my question 😦

were you there?

Hmm, read this. We got notified about this link. Don’t sound too good to Greg.

nope, doesn’t sound too good. I’m still in the middle of the paper, but it’s fairly interesting so far. I found the concept of giving interrupt handlers a process context quite interesting. I wonder what sort of redesign it would entail to apply it to Linux, and whether it would be a win.

I am not familiar with the way Linux does but I am sure the interrupt handlers are not regarded as process context. Are you going to try doing something similar to see if it performs better?

In a perfect world, I would. In this not so perfect world, I will if I find the time for it…

Hehe, i thought this should be inclination? 🙂
