    • Oh great, Greg is staying on for AOSS. I was invited to attend AOSS too but I am sick… Hope to meet Greg one day.

      • Greg is cool 🙂 He came down to Singapore twice to talk about FreeBSD. I invited him down this year, but darn, I can’t meet him.
I am not sure. If I am coming, i will be paying for my lodging, and accomodation myself. Any idea if I have my paper submitted (and accepted), will they pay 50% of my expenses, or everything?

      • I don’t know, but you can email ajh and/or catch him on IRC and ask him.

i am wondering how i can apply for an account to upload my patches to kernel.org or is it not for anyone?

      • It’s not for everyone, no. But you can try and talk to hpa, who’s the ftp master and ask.

      • actually, i emailed to hpa before. he ignored my email. so i guess, that is my answer to my question 😦

      • Hmm, read this. We got notified about this link. Don’t sound too good to Greg.

      • nope, doesn’t sound too good. I’m still in the middle of the paper, but it’s fairly interesting so far. I found the concept of giving interrupt handlers a process context quite interesting. I wonder what sort of redesign it would entail to apply it to Linux, and whether it would be a win.

      • I am not familiar with the way Linux does but I am sure the interrupt handlers are not regarded as process context. Are you going to try doing something similar to see if it performs better?

      • In a perfect world, I would. In this not so perfect world, I will if I find the time for it…
