I picked up George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones on the last trip, and it rules my world. I devoured it over the weekend, enjoying every page. I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to read it! Highly recommended.

    • You’re welcome to borrow it. Although it’s good enough to own, no question.

  2. Wait until you get to the third book. That’s where it starts to get *really* good.

    • Hmm… I guess it’s time to reassess how many hours of sleep can I get along on and still function?

  4. Yup, they’re crack in pulp&cloth form. I started reading them even after swearing off series, glad I did.
Haven’t gotten around to the new one yet, though. Can’t afford the time out.

    • What’s keeping you so busy? thesis writing?
I didn’t have a choice, I was on vacation and there was no net access 🙂

      • Actually, I’m not that busy. I’m just overdue on something that should have been turned in last week. It hasn’t stopped me from reading other novels…so I suspect that this is just an excuse. Still, reading it does mean getting drawn into all the discussions.
