I am going to be visiting OLS in the summer (happy happy joy joy), and since .us is on the way, figured I might as well get a visa to go there as well. Apparently, the rules for visa are much more stringent than they used to be, and the US Embassy in Tel Aviv invited me for an interview. I am supposed to bring some documents from the Ministry of Interior with me, which are supposedly available online. I ordered them a couple of weeks ago, and when nothing showed up in the mail by Sunday, decided to bite the bullet and make a trip to the Ministry of Interior office here in Haifa. So on Sunday morning I alternatively drove, walked and waited in line for three hours, for 20 seconds in front of a clerk that printed out the form I needed. Of course, the next day the form arrived in the mail.
Nothing else of note happened today, except Itai met with Alain (my senior manager at IBM Research) and got a job offer, which he eventually accepted. Welcome aboard, dude!
In the evening I attended the last Probability lesson for this semester, then went to work out, and then crashed. Sleep of the righteous^Wvery tired, indeed.
